We’re excited to host a special networking event, Have Your Cake and Eat It Too, right here at Broadmoor Court on Thursday, February 15th, from 2:00-3:30PM. In addition to enjoying some sweet treats (which everyone deserves in the middle of winter), visitors will have the chance to meet and mingle with our senior care professionals, including our Executive Director Linda Hodges and our Health Services Director, Chasity Steele.
We hope you’ll join us and find out more about our mission of inspired service—and what we’re doing to make an impact on our residents, their families, and the community we serve. Here’s a little bit about Chasity, and what she enjoys most about our senior living community.
Chasity Steele was a home health nurse when she first visited Broadmoor Court Assisted Living. Having visited many other senior living communities, she immediately saw the difference.
“I loved the atmosphere of the community, and friendliness of the staff, also how happy the residents looked,” she said. “While leaving I noticed they were looking for a nurse, so I applied. The rest is history,” she said.
Chasity, who has been a nurse since 2001 and in senior care since 2012, came to Colorado Springs through her husband’s military relocation, and she now serves as Broadmoor Court’s Health Services Director.
Her favorite part of her job is “knowing residents have the best care, that they are happy and healthy, and that every day is the best day it can be.” Chasity embraces Broadmoor Court’s “inspired service” model. “Inspired Service for me is knowing why I chose the career path of serving seniors, knowing what needs to be done to serve seniors with the dignity they deserve and being a leader for those who serve alongside of me.”
Chasity is proud of the team at Broadmoor Court and says they deliver “top notch care with compassion.” She added, “We provide excellent care, have great customer service and provide a home-like feeling. We care and love each of our residents just like they are our family because they are family.”
For those researching assisted living communities, Chasity advises, “Go with your gut when you walk through the door. Are you greeted with a smile? Do the residents look as they should? Does the staff look happy?”
Chasity looks forward to meeting you at our “Have Your Cake and Eat It Too” networking event, a celebration of desserts and a chance to mingle with area senior living professionals. She doesn’t have a favorite dessert, but loves cinnamon Hot Tamales. Come share a sweet and good conversation!
